Two drones twice halted operations at Tan Son Nhat Airport

Unauthorized UAV flights on the evening of August 11 disrupted airport operations for more than two hours and affected 73 flights.
On the evening of August 11, 2026, Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City twice suspended takeoffs and landings after drones were detected in protected airspace. The first incident occurred after the crew of flight 3S621 reported a drone approximately 500 meters from the aircraft at an altitude of about 550 meters.
