Three tourists from Russia and Kazakhstan were rescued after swimming in Dak Lak
Strong waves carried three men toward rocky crevices at Bai Mon beach — Mũi Đại Lãnh. The rescue operation began after a female tourist who remained on shore reported the incident to the guide.
On August 7, a group of four foreign tourists aged 21 to 32 traveled from Nha Trang to Bai Mon beach — Mũi Đại Lãnh in Dak Lak Province. While swimming, three men — citizens of Russia and Kazakhstan — were swept away from the shore by strong waves toward rocky crevices, from which it was difficult for them to get out on their own.
At around 13:00, the female tourist who had stayed on shore noticed what had happened and informed her tour guide. The information was then passed on to staff at the tourist site, who quickly contacted the police, border guards, and other forces involved in the rescue operation.
Rescuers arrived at the scene and helped the three men get out of the danger zone. After returning to shore, the tourists were given first aid. As a result of the incident, all three were rescued and were able to continue their trip.
After the incident, the tourists expressed gratitude to the complex staff, rescuers, and local residents for their prompt assistance. A representative of the group wrote a letter of thanks, noting the support they received during the incident.
Bai Mon — Mũi Đại Lãnh is a popular natural attraction on the Dak Lak coast. The story once again shows that even during an ordinary swim, in rough surf the situation can quickly become dangerous.
