In Nha Trang, beach businesses were temporarily restricted after 18:00
From August 12, evening operations of a number of establishments and entertainment activities were suspended on the beach section along Tran Phu Street after local operators’ documents were inspected.
From August 12, 2026, Nha Trang authorities temporarily banned the operation of beach facilities after 18:00. The restriction applies to businesses and activities on the sand along Tran Phu Street, including the installation of umbrellas and sun loungers, the organization of entertainment, performances, and food services. The restrictions remain in effect until further notice.
The decision was made after inspections of restaurants and other businesses operating along the coast. The inspection found that some venues had not fully completed the required documentation. Such businesses must suspend operations. At the same time, businesses whose documents are properly completed may continue operating within the permitted areas and hours.
Authorities note that the current restriction is temporary. During this period, the Nha Trang district administration is developing a new framework for managing beach facilities and organizing commercial activities along the coast in accordance with current regulations.
For tourists, this means that after 18:00 on the beach in the Tran Phu Street area, some usual services may be unavailable: beach equipment rental, the setup of umbrellas and loungers, some entertainment, and food services. At the same time, this concerns only restrictions on the activities of commercial facilities, not the closure of the beach itself to visitors.
Thus, evening access to the beach remains available, but the usual infrastructure after 18:00 may not operate at full capacity. The authorities are expected to determine the final rules for beach businesses after completing the development of the new framework.
