Nha Trang — Da Lat: road repairs
National Highway QL27C, connecting Nha Trang and Da Lat, passes through Khanh Le Pass in Khanh Hoa Province. From August 20 to September 15, 2026, temporary traffic stoppages will be introduced on certain sections of the road, necessary for the safe execution of repair work.
The restrictions are related to the aftermath of the heavy rains and floods of November 2025, which caused numerous landslides on the pass. As part of the current project, nine damaged sections of the highway are being repaired, but temporary traffic closures will be required only in the area of two of them — Km44+500 and Km44+920.
At these sections, landslides occurred on the upper parts of the slopes. Specialists are currently reinforcing the slopes with high-strength steel mesh designed to protect against rockfalls, and are also installing special barriers intended to prevent soil and rocks from falling onto the roadway.
Traffic will be stopped during hours with low traffic volume, and the duration of a single closure must not exceed one hour. The restriction applies to the section approximately from Km41+500 to Km45+200, although the actual stopping zone may change depending on the work being carried out and the road situation.
Warning signs and barriers must be installed at both ends of the section, and traffic will be regulated by personnel. Before traffic is allowed to resume, the contractor is required to inspect the work site and remove construction materials, soil, and rocks from the road.
Khanh Hoa authorities recommend that drivers take the temporary stoppages into account in advance when planning their route between Nha Trang and Da Lat and follow the instructions of traffic controllers. It is especially important to allow extra travel time during the work.
