In Nha Trang, police helped a citizen of Kazakhstan who had lost his passport
A 63-year-old foreigner, left without documents and a permanent place to live, was taken to the Khanh Hoa social center, where he will be provided with temporary accommodation and necessary assistance.
Police in North Nha Trang found Kazakh citizen Yuri E., who had ended up in a difficult life situation. The man had lost his passport, had no permanent place to live, and was forced to ask for food.
After finding the foreigner, police officers arranged for him to undergo a medical examination. The man was then taken to the Khanh Hoa Province Center for Social Protection and Social Work. There, he will be provided with temporary accommodation, care, and necessary social support.
The police also contacted the immigration service unit to resolve the issue of issuing documents to replace the lost passport. This will allow the man to restore the necessary documents and subsequently regularize his status in Vietnam.
Local law enforcement agencies urged residents, organizations, and hotels to pay attention to foreigners left without documents, housing, or means of subsistence, and to report such cases to the authorities. According to the police, timely reporting makes it possible to provide a person with the necessary assistance while also resolving issues related to their documents and stay in the country.
