In Khanh Hoa, digital assistance for foreign tourists has been launched
A new digital system, Khanh Hoa Travel Assistance, has been launched in Khanh Hoa to provide legal support and ensure the safety of foreign tourists. The official presentation of the platform took place on September 2, 2026, at Cam Ranh International Airport with the participation of the provincial police and tourism authorities.
The main feature of the system is that tourists do not need to install a separate app. Access is provided via a QR code, which is planned to be placed at the airport, hotels, resort complexes, and tourist sites. The service opens directly in a browser.
The platform supports five languages: Vietnamese, English, Chinese, Korean, and Russian. Through it, users can obtain information about temporary residence regulations, road traffic, safety measures, and protection of personal belongings. Practical recommendations for tourists are also provided — about 50 safety tips in total.
One of the key functions is the SOS system. If a tourist loses a passport or property, gets into an accident, or encounters another problem, they can submit a request through the platform. The system collects the necessary data, photos, and GPS coordinates and forwards the information to the relevant police unit for further response.
The service also includes an AI assistant that uses RAG technology and answers questions based on a verified legal information database. The developers emphasize that the system is limited to this database and should not independently invent legal provisions or fine amounts.
In addition to emergency assistance, the platform can be used to find the nearest police units and medical facilities, as well as obtain information about tourist attractions and other services.
The provincial police plan to expand the use of the system throughout Khanh Hoa. In the future, QR codes are expected to appear at accommodation facilities and tourist sites so that foreign visitors can access the service directly during their trip. The system is also planned to be integrated into Khanh Hoa’s digital tourism platform.
