A new seaside tourist center is planned to be created near Mui Ne
The authorities of Lam Dong have approved development plans for Hoa Thang covering about 32,000 hectares. The area is intended to be transformed into a multifunctional coastal center with resorts, ecotourism, and modern infrastructure.
In Lam Dong Province, large-scale development is planned for Hoa Thang (Hòa Thắng) — an area near Mui Ne that is expected to become a new growth point for the region’s marine tourism. According to the published plan, the entire commune area of about 32,000 hectares will be developed under a multifunctional model combining tourism, services, agriculture, renewable energy, and nature conservation.
One of Hoa Thang’s main tourist attractions will remain Bau Trang (Bàu Trắng) — a national scenic site famous for its sand dunes and two natural freshwater lakes. The area is already popular with tourists, including for its nature routes and trips across the sand dunes.
Looking ahead to 2050, the authorities plan to develop resort and ecotourism here, nature and agricultural routes, and also create new tourism and service facilities. The plan envisions a harmonious combination of the coastal tourism zone with residential areas, agricultural and fishing territories, and natural zones.
Special attention will be given to attracting investment. The planning is intended to create a legal foundation for implementing projects in infrastructure, tourism, and services, and local authorities have stated their readiness to support investors working in accordance with the approved development directions. At the same time, the authorities intend to control construction and land use to prevent illegal development and real estate speculation.
If the plans are fully implemented, Hoa Thang will be able to significantly expand the tourism zone around Mui Ne and combine seaside recreation with nature-based and ecotourism.
