Stamp run (border and back)
1. Exit Vietnam by presenting your passport with a valid visa and receive an exit stamp (it is unlikely, but they are entitled to ask for the e-visa under which you are staying in Vietnam; be prepared to find it on your phone and show it if you are currently in Vietnam on an e-visa).
2. Walk approximately 500 meters through the neutral zone.
3. Enter Cambodia: fill out the arrival card. If you applied for an e-visa in advance, show a printed copy; if not, prepare $35 or 1,000,000 VND.
4. Closer to 11:00 AM, return to the Cambodian border checkpoint building together with the entire group (including those who are obtaining a visa).
5. Exit Cambodia and pass through the neutral zone.
6. Present your passport and re-enter Vietnam.
7. Make sure to check the entry stamp in your passport and verify the expiration date (it is handwritten below the stamp); if the border officer makes a mistake, point it out immediately on the spot.
8. Return to the bus (If you return early to the Vietnamese side, don't rush to the bus; the driver is asleep after a long journey and should only wake up after 11:15) the scheduled departure is at 12:00. The bus departs only once all passengers have arrived. Try not to linger and help those who are lagging behind to save everyone time. A lunch stop is scheduled at a café 4.5 hours after departure from the border; you will choose Vietnamese dishes from the menu yourself. No additional stops are scheduled along the route so that you can get home as quickly as possible.
